A Week of Camping and Fishing at Rathbun Lake

We are spending a week camping and fishing at Rathbun Lake, and it has been the kind of trip that reminds us how good simple outdoor days can be.

There has been time on the water, quiet evenings by the lake, and plenty of camp cooking in between. A place like this makes it easier to slow down, enjoy the children, and be thankful for the Lord’s kindness in ordinary things.

Meals around camp have been part of the fun too. There is something satisfying about cooking outside, whether it is over open coals or around a table full of food after a long day.

Some of the best parts of a trip like this are not complicated. Cooking over the fire, gathering around a full table, and ending the day with a fishing rod in hand are the kinds of memories that stay with a family.

We are grateful for this week away together and for the chance to enjoy God’s creation at Rathbun Lake.
